There’s no doubt
that chocolate is one of the world’s most favourite foods.


Chocolate comes from the beans of cocoa tree, a
plant that has grown in America for 4000 years. However, it was not known in
Europe until the Spanish explorers brought it to Spain in 1528.



There are many reasons why chocolate is so popular. People like its rich
and delicious flavours. Some people think that chocolate is even better when
combined with fruit and nuts.



Eating chocolate has mental benefits, too. Many people eat chocolate
when they are stressed or upset. It is said that one ingredient of chocolate
lowers stress.
