Second term exam.

In 1830, France occupied Algeria. The French army was everywhere. The Algerian people refused to be Colonized and many wars started. A lot of people died in order to free the country. On the 8th of May 1945,
the Algerian people organized a pacific demonstration to ask for their liberty.
Millions of the Algerian citizens participated inside and abroad Algeria. In France, hundreds of people were killed and lots of them were thrown in the “Saine River”. The same thing happened in Algeria. Thousands of people were killed especially in Setif, Skikda and Guelma. They were the martyrs of freedom.

Every year, the Algerian nation celebrates the 8th of May in the memory of these people and to remember the history. Our independence was highly paid by the blood of martyrs.


Part one: (14pts)

I.
Reading comprehension.

A- Read the text and answer these questions.(2pts)
